  • US Size: T his ring sits just a hair over 5.75 on the shop mandrel; for context, it is very comfortable on both a size 5.50 and 6.00 finger.
  • Total Precious Metal Weight: Professionally estimated 1.13 dwt
  • Precious Metal Material: 18k white gold
  • Dimensions: This ring has a slim, elegant profile and measures about 1.50 mm north to south (width) and rises about 1.75 mm from the finger.
  • Weight: A wonderful 1.75 grams
  • Markings: The interior is stamped "WHITE ROSE 18K PATD.", followed by a hand engraved commemoration that reads "HME To EME 9-29-'29", which is very likely the wedding date of the original wearer and her spouse.
  • Era: This ring dates to between 1925 and 1929.
  • Buyer Notes: Skinny bands have surged in popularity in recent years, and with the simultaneous rise of demand for antique and vintage jewelry, this ring is highly collectible for multiple reasons. Likewise, it is remarkably rare to find an antique wedding band of this crisp quality-- for a wedding ring that was worn everyday for a lifetime, and passed down as an heirloom for multiple lifetimes more, this piece is in unbelievably top-notch condition, and therefore, is all the more desirable by collectors and history-lovers alike.

The Story:

Hand-engraved during the mid to late 1920s, this 18k wedding band is in the eternity style with a crisp and sleekly minimalist relief pattern. This pattern is a geometricized arrangement of florals intended to allude to the deeply symbolic orange blossom flower that has been associated with matrimony and love for hundreds of years. Historically, the orange blossom motif is viewed as symbolic of innocence and fertility, and is said to represent unity in marriage. In suit, the endless floral formation of the band asserts eternal connectedness and abiding affection between lifelong partners.

Given their symbolism and legacy, orange blossom themed bands were exceedingly popular during the teens, twenties and thirties, and this band is a sweet and elegant rendition of the style. And yet, its small-scale angularity were a nod to the strong geometrics that were contemporaneously en vogue during the height of the Jazz Age. The band's rectilinear blooms encompass the its entire surface, and are ever so slightly dimensional due to delicate notching that the creator included along the ring's profiles. In sum, this band's detailing yields loads of artful intricacies and special historic devotion.

A beloved trait of all antique wedding bands, this one is perfect on its very own, as well as within a collected stack of rings, or when worn as a timeless counterpart to any engagement ring. This band is iconic of the Deco era, and in chic, defined condition for being about nearly a century in age. Ever relevant to all love stories, this band represents the determination and endurance of true affection.

Specially Negotiated Deals: Items purchased at specially negotiated discounts, deals or prices through any platform between Revival Fine Jewelry and a designated customer are considered final sale, including rates arranged and agreed upon via Facebook, Instagram, email or any other method. Closing deals at special rates reflects a desire by both parties to reach an expeditious and absolute sale. The intention of specially negotiated discounts, deals or sale prices through any platform between Revival Fine Jewelry and a designated customer, is to eliminate extra expenses and/or use of time and resources to formally list or re-list items per their specific and inherent value-determining qualities, as well as avoid unseen overhead business costs, stocking obligations, and all other disclosed or undisclosed monetary and nonmonetary expenditures.

Pricing: Revival Fine Jewelry reserves the right to decrease, increase, alter and modify inventory pricing to meet market rarity, demand or value; to offset platform, transaction or seller's fees; to adapt to economic inflation and fluctuation; and to defray specific business expenses. Pricing is the sole discretion of every small business.

Regarding Brooches & Pins: Often significantly and curiously undervalued jewelry items, brooches, pins and stick pins are treasured pieces of history in this shop. Accordingly, their pricing is calculated analogous to other fine jewelry, including their symbolic meaning, rarity and historical prestige. Such pieces are typically converted to other forms of jewelry, and are therefore becoming increasingly rare in their original states. Aside from being perfectly wearable as sophisticated lapel ornaments, brooches and pins of all kinds are prime candidates for many kinds of fine jewelry conversions, including rings, earrings, pendants, and charms, if so desired by the consumer post-purchase. Revival Fine Jewelry does not perform conversion projects for customers.

Regarding Storage & Boxes: All specifications, including but not limited to the measurements, age, origins, and material compositions are supplied in good faith as professional estimations constructed using professional grade tools, years of learned and honed skills, educational resources and academic scholarship, and refined research methods. Regardless of our confidence in our descriptions and the photographs deemed viable extensions of these descriptions, we cannot guarantee the definitiveness, faultlessness, or exactitude beyond our knowledge and expertise. Kindly keep in mind that this and all items are sold as-is vintage, antique and estate secondhand wares, and consequently bear conditional wear in matter and operation commensurate with age and use.
